Four-country Circuit: Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro – Kosovo – Serbia

An epic loop if there ever was one, this circuit around the interior of the Trans Dinarica Cycle Route is for cyclists who want to get into the heart of the Western Balkans — a corner of Europe with endless hospitality and new discoveries around every mountain. Leaving from Sarajevo, the captial of Bosnia and Herzegovina, this itinerary heads south, down to the border with Montenegro near two incredible national parks — Sutjeska in BiH and Durmitor in Montenegro. The itinerary then rolls diagonally to Montenegro’s eastern corner before crossing into Kosovo and taking cyclists to the vibrant city of Peja. The circuit turns north, back through Montenegro and into Serbia. The Trans Dinarica pedals at the edge of Serbia’s magical Tara National Park and then heads west across Bosnia and Herzegovina to its origin in Sarajevo.
