Terms and conditions

Use of the website www.transdinarica.com, navigation packages and the Ride with GPS platform.

  • Thank you for being part of the Trans Dinarica, the first cycle route to connect the entire Western Balkans: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Serbia. By purchasing this navigation pack and/or using information gathered and posted by the Trans Dinarica team on its website or any story published across multiple media platofrms, you are on your way to an epic adventure across one of the most diverse and exciting regions in Europe.

  • By purchasing and/or using information gathered and posted by the Trans Dinarica team, you are also taking sole responsibility for your actions as a traveler and cyclist.

  • Cycling comes with pleasures and risks. By using the Trans Dinarica information to discover the world on two wheels, you accept this risk as your own and acknowledge and accept that any incident that occurs to you, your equipment, and your cycle mates along the route is not the responsibility of the Trans Dinarica Cycle Route in any way.

  • The Trans Dinarica is a meticulously researched cycle route. Even so, incidents with people, animals, and getting lost are all possible. You acknowledge this and accept full responsibility.

  • Purchase, use and duration of navigation pack:
    • The purchased navigation package is valid until December 31, 2025. After this date, a new, updated version will be published and offered to existing subscribers at a reduced price. Additionally, the previous version will remain available for anyone who wishes to continue using it.
    • By purchasing the navigation package, you undertake not to share your data with third parties.

  • Among the possible risks you are accepting include — but are not limited to:
    • bodily harm caused while cycling;
    • damage to your bicycle or other equipment;
    • encounters with people along the cycle route; encounters with animals, including wild animals and farm animals (shepherd dogs and the like);
    • getting lost along the route
    • Limited wireless service in remote areas

  • Of special note:
    • On a few sections of the route, it is possible to see signs warning of landmines from previous regional conflicts. There is no fear of coming across landmines on the route itself. The areas — well off the trail — where the possibility exists are well marked. However, cyclists on the Trans Dinarica agree that the responisbility for cycling in these areas where such signs are present is completely their own.
    • The Trans Dinarica uses public roads. The Trans Dinarica route and its creators are not responsible for the maintenance of these or any roads, paths, trails, or any other riding surface along the cycle route. As well, road systems in the Western Balkans, like all places in the world, occasionally change over time. We will update changes when possible, but it is impossible to keep live track of changes. Trans Dinarica cyclists accept the responsibility for such potential changes and their ability to adjust accordingly.
    • Weather conditions can change rapidly in the mountains such as those in the Western Balkans. The Trans Dinarica application links to a current weather forecast, but it is the responsibility of every traveler and cyclist to be prepared for such aconditions. The Trans Dinarica and its creators accept no responsibility for changing weather conditions along the route.
    • The Trans Dinarica application lists thousands of points of interest (POIs) — services, accommodations, etc. — across its stages. POIs and businesses can change over time. The Trans Dinarica and its creators can not guarantee the continued existence of any POI listed on the application. We will make every effort to update the application yearly to solve any issues.
    • The Trans Dinarica and its stages are not physically marked (or signposted) in nature. Route tracks are of informative nature and intended as an aid for easier navigation (with the help of the RWGPS App or GPS files). The Trans Dinarica and its creators do not take responsibility for any malfunctioning of the RWGPS App or of any other application used by cyclists along the route

  • Again, thank you for your interest and for understanding that adventure comes with rewards and potential risks. Just as you deserve the former, you are accepting 100% responsibility for the risks.
