The Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Circle: Livno – Sarajevo

This is a truly classic ride across the beauty and wonder that is Bosnia and Herzegovina. This circular itinerary along the Trans Dinarica Cycle Route starts near the border with Croatia in the city of Livno, which is known for its wild horses and fantastic cheese. This loop route then heads south into the country’s Herzegovina region — visiting Mostar and its famous old town center and UNESCO-listed bridge. Cyclists will begin to make the turn back north with a stop at Boračko Lake and will soon be within easy distance from the beautiful shepherding community of Lukomir, the country’s highest village. The northern part of the circle continues to Sarajevo, the historic capital before it turns west back toward Livno.
